Background
When, in 1965, Claude Heiss opened his 30 m² office in Metz town centre, he employed six staff and had three trucks.
Today, the company owns a logistics platform covering an area of 3,500 m² and has 45 staff. This expansion is mainly due to the company's founder and his innovative ideas. In the 1950's, while working in his father's company, Claude Heiss patented a wardrobe carton that is now used by all removal firms.
In the mid 1970's, he designed the first furniture hoist, which he then sold to his colleagues.
Now, 30 years on, the founder's son and grandson are keeping the family business prosperous. After expanding into Luxembourg and Nancy, the company is now extending its storage activity in its logistics platform in Metz Actipôle.
