We do everything possible to meet your needs and we are attentive to even the smallest detail. We send small volumes by air for speedy delivery. Large volumes or groupage contracts are sent by sea on a container ship. A smooth removal and the safety and security of your belongings depend on our care and attention.
The Demeco International head office monitors and manages work at home. This means that Heiss Claude can keep you informed of your removal and the whereabouts of your belongings at all times.
Our commitments
We keep you informed of progress and the whereabouts of your belongings. A Heiss Claude representative will be appointed as your particular contact person, always ready to answer your questions.
A representative visits you at home to carry out a technical visit and estimate the volume of belongings and the work required. He or she will also give you good advice on every aspect of an international removal. If you do not know the volume of your belongings, click on "Estimate the volume". After this visit, you will receive a detailed estimate.
We complete the Customs & Excise formalities at the point of departure in France and on arrival in the country of destination.
Your belongings are comprehensively insured from door to door, in accordance with the detailed Declaration of Value that you give us before the removal takes place. In order to guarantee the safety of your belongings, our shipping chests are hooped and our containers are closed with a lead seal. A systematic list of the number of boxes is drawn up on loading and delivery. Each box is numbered and indicated on a packing list signed by us and you.
Method of despatch
Groupage: we can send all types of furniture and personal belongings at company groupage rates.
Shipping chest: we make one or more shipping chests to suit the volume of your removal (usually 1 to 12 m3 maximum).
Personal shipping container: we come to your home with a 20' or 40' shipping container (33 or 66 m3) in which we place all your furniture and personal belongings.
Vehicles: we can also send all types of vehicle, using conventional storage in the hold.
Method of Transport
Road: removals in France and Europe usually take place by road, with relatively short arrival times. We supply padded trucks and experienced, careful professional movers who move your belongings to any destination with a range of "customised" services.
For removals elsewhere in the world, you have a choice of two possibilities:
Cargo plane: for small volumes (1 to 3 m3) consisting of urgently-required goods or personal belongings, with very short delivery times of approximately 7 to 10 days door to door.
Container ship: maritime freight is used for larger volumes ranging from a 1 m3 chest to a 45' container (boxes, packages, cans, goods or personal belongings, in groupage). Times range from 2 to 6 weeks door to door depending on the destination.
